The most ineffective way of getting anything done
Is to simply say for it to be done.
Demonstration and encouragement too may cajole one into action,
But it is nearly guaranteed to not have a lasting effect.
For this is not what kindles the human.
However, it was never about telling anyone or “telling yourself” to do anything.
The things that one does best
Come from a force-less, yet choice-less place . . .
In a way, we do not choose our passions. Our passions choose us.
One is rather . . . drawn by it.
In fact, the root of all great things that last
Is born of sincere desire.
A French aviator once said,
“If you want to build a ship, don’t drum up the men to gather wood, divide the work and give orders. Instead, teach them to yearn for the vast and endless sea.”
In regard to teams and the convergence of various individuals,
The quality of allignment as it relates to the goal
Will spell its roaring success or crashing demise.
Good teams gather around skill.
Great teams gather around skill and allignment.
Legendary teams . . .
The Dream Team . . .
The perfect orchestra . . .
Emerges from a natural confluence of an uncompromising vision, on top of the requisite skills.
Its power comes not so much from the aligning of minds
As it comes from the aligning of hearts.
The result of which . . . emanates an effortless tune.
Within this harmony,
Skills can still be manufactured.
Vision cannot.
But if it so happens,
Then the seeds were always there.
