2004
DBZ: Buu's Fury (GBA)
Far back as I can remember... my first game (ARPG) and one I spent countless hours on. The compelling storyline, incredibly memorable characters, and animated soundtracks granted endless fun and immersion!
2007
Super Mario Galaxy (Wii)
Introduced to the world of 3D Mario, this one harbored a mystical joy. I also credit it with my respect for other adventure and platformer games.
2007
Halo 3
Despite never owning a 360, split-screen LANs with family and friends became a weekly anticipation. Eventually having made way to a vast landscape of various online custom games, Halo 3 was undoubtedly an era standing on its own.
2007
CoD 4 (PS3)
The roots of my continuous run with the Call of Duty series. From the intense and replayable single-player missions, to my beginnings in multiplayer shooters (alongside Combat Arms). Amazingly simple, fast-paced, and smooth.
2009
CoD Mw2
The peak of game entertainment? Friends and foes alike cultivated a raw experience that other titles certainly attempt replicating to this day. The online communities, clans, lobbies, playstyles, (broken) metas, culture mix, and overall atmosphere... "you just had to be there" really remains the only suitable saying.
2010
Minecraft (Java)
If I had to pick only a single game, it would be Minecraft. An open and (sometimes) peaceful universe giving complete freedom to your creativity and imagination which I always find myself coming back to!
Communities: HCTeams, Kohi, MineZ
2012
CoD Black Ops 2
A masterpiece, and where I discovered competitive gaming through League Play, then GameBattles, including serendipitous encounters with lifelong buddies during my focus on CoD eSports until 2017.
